Royal Albert Hall, London
Lighting design by EQ2 Light

3D LED Flex 25 IP 66 fixtures provide wall-grazing illumination to the curved niches of the Royal Albert Hall, housing sculptures of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The newly unveiled statues are mirrored by statues of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on the other side of the building, also illuminated by Radiant’s 3D LED Flex 25 IP 66 System.

The two-metre bronze figures of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh were created by artist Poppy Field, and were unveiled by His Majesty The King in the autumn of 2023.

The 3D LED Flex 25 IP66 System was specified by EQ2 Light with 4 x high-power LEDs with elliptical-beam lenses per module. The 3D flexible, modular LED lighting system is ideal for illuminating curved architectural profiles. Radiant developed a custom curved magnetic mounting plate, which allows for the system to be easily removed and re-installed for maintenance. Anti-glare snoots ensure visual comfort.
